TC Oil Seals for Rotary Shaft Applications

TC oil seals are radial shaft seals with a double-lip profile. The spring-loaded primary sealing lip helps retain oil or grease around a rotating shaft, while the secondary dust lip helps reduce the entry of dust, dirt and other external contaminants.

Our current UK-stock range consists of metric TC oil seals manufactured from NBR. TC seals are commonly used in gearboxes, automotive equipment, agricultural machinery and mechanical power transmission systems. Suitability depends on the shaft condition, operating speed, temperature, pressure and compatibility with the fluid being sealed.

Additional materials, inch sizes and custom dimensions may be available through our manufacturing partner network, subject to availability, minimum order quantity and lead time. Please use our Request a Quote service for specialist requirements.

How to Select the Correct Oil Seal Size

Oil seal dimensions are normally shown as inner diameter × outer diameter × width in millimetres. For example, a 30×42×7mm oil seal is designed for a 30mm shaft, a 42mm housing bore and a 7mm seal width.

Measure the existing seal carefully with a suitable caliper and check any part number or markings before ordering. Dimensions alone may not confirm compatibility, so the material, lip profile, shaft condition, operating temperature, speed, pressure and fluid should also be considered.

If the original reference is unknown, send us the dimensions, application, required quantity and photographs of the existing seal. We can check our UK stock and manufacturing partner network for a suitable option.
